100-listan och REACH gav mig nycklarna till kommersialisering

Den 10 maj presenteras IVAs femte 100-lista, som ska underlätta för forskare och företag att hitta varandra för att skapa innovation och nya affärsmöjligheter. Här berättar två av forskarna som varit med på tidigare listor och genom det fått delta i Vinnovas inkubatorprogram REACH i Silicon Valley om värdet av 100-listan.

Teknikjournalist prisas av IVA

Norden kan leda den gröna omställningen

De nordiska länderna har alla förutsättningar att ta en ledande roll i det globala arbetet med att ställa om till en fossilfri industri. Det var huvudbudskapet på en internationell konferens som lockade politiker, industriledare och forskare från flera länder till IVA i juni för att diskutera Nordens och Europas roll i den gröna omställningen.

Royal Technology Mission to the Netherlands

Last week, the 2024 Royal Technology Mission (RTM) to the Netherlands was carried out. The delegation, led by HM The King and IVA's Chair Marcus Wallenberg, consisted of leading representatives from academia, business and the public sector in Sweden. The focus of the trip was AI, quantum technology and cybersecurity.

Joakim Nivre granted the Chester Carlson Research Award

Professor Joakim Nivre has been granted the Chester Carlson Research Award of 100,000 SEK for his innovative contributions to computational linguistics, his leadership in the research community, and his commitment to language technology through collaboration. The award has been granted since 1985 to promote scientific research in the field of information science.

AI Pioneer Professor Geoffrey Hinton visited IVA

Leif Johansson appointed Chair of Swedish Futures

IVA's List for Research Impact

We are now seeking candidates for IVA's List for Research Impact. The IVA List highlights current research projects within the field of engineering sciences, conducted at Swedish universities and research institutes, that show a clear ambition to be commercialised. The research should be ready to generate impact within the foreseeable future. The application period is open from 4 February to 20 February 2026.

2025 Hans Werthén Scholars

Ten young researchers and students residing in Sweden have been awarded this year's scholarships from the Hans Werthén Foundation, for studies and research abroad. The scholarships are granted with the aim of giving young academics the opportunity to develop in other countries and return with new knowledge and experience that can benefit Sweden.
