IVA Väst under 40 år

IVA Väst bildades 1981 för att ge ledamöterna som bor och arbetar i västra Sverige möjlighet att ta del av och ge impulser till pågående IVA-projekt och samlas kring västsvenska teknik-, ekonomi- och näringslivsfrågor. I en publikation framtagen till 40-årsjubileet beskrivs verksamheten sedan bildandet ingående, och visar på hur IVA Väst har varit och är en viktig del i samhällsutvecklingen.

Utvecklingslinjer inom forskning och teknik 1919-2019: Framtiden i backspegeln

För femtio år sedan tittade IVA i kristallkulan och försökte se in framtiden. Vilken teknik skulle slå igenom, vilka vetenskapliga genombrott skulle ske och skulle människan landa på Mars innan akademien fyllde hundra. Hur det gick med spådomarna kan du läsa här.

Flera IVA-ledamöter i regeringens forskningsberedning

Regeringen tillsätter en ny forskningsberedning – en expertgrupp med kunskap om svensk forskning och dess betydelse för Sveriges internationella konkurrenskraft. Gruppen består av 15 personer varav sex är ledamöter av Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien (IVA).

R2B Summit & Sessions

IVA’s Research2Business project develops new meeting places and meeting formats for the commercial and social utilisation of research. During the annual national R2B Summit, selected researchers meet decision-makers with responsibility for innovation, research and development at companies and organisations. The R2B Sessions give a small number of researchers per meeting the opportunity to discuss their research with invited participants.
